Pastoral Assistant Position open in Decatur, IL

Lampstand Presbyterian Church (ECO) in Decatur, Illinois, is looking for a part-time (Full time may be available to the right candidate) Pastoral Assistant to work under the direction and leadership of the Head Pastor, Jack Pitzer, the author of the Great Banquet.  The position will have a strong emphasis on pastoral care and outreach.

Lampstand is a vibrant and growing Central Illinois congregation focused on Christ and furthering His kingdom. Their mission is to Know Jesus as Savior and Lord and to make Him Known.  The Pastoral Assistant would fulfill that mission through visitation of members and visitors, assisting in worship services and Bible studies, and participating in local Great Banquets and Awakenings.

They desire an individual with some higher education and ministry experience, and ordination is preferred, but not required. The successful candidate will ascribe to the tenents of the Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians (ECO) and have attended a three-day Cursillo model weekend (such as Great Banquet, Walk to Emmaus, Tres Dias, etc.)
